We used Google’s NotebookLM to create the ultimate in-house podcast

If you came to our One Day Summit on 24 September, you would have seen Tim Sparke of Congregation Partners demonstrating Google’s amazing NotebookLM. One of its outstanding features is the ability to create a realistic-sounding podcast from whatever source material you upload to it.

We took a selection of 24 of the In-House Life online Sessions that we have run over the past three years, uploaded them to NotebookLM and asked it to create the ultimate in-house podcast.

The results are mindblowing – if slightly disturbing – but also with some weird mistakes (thinking Kraft Heinz and AB InBev are the same company) and strange choices about which interviews to feature more than others. Our robot friends seem weirdly fascinated by Domino’s, for example. Thankfully, it would appear there is still a role for the human interviewer!

Nevertheless, the AI did a good job of summarising many of the key themes that we have explored in these sessions over the years. So for a cheerily-voiced overview of some of the major issues for in-house agencies, listen here.
