Amazon’s Christmas spot, Joy Ride, is part of a wider Joy Shared integrated campaign which will run worldwide across the festive season, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It tells the tale of three lifelong friends who rediscover the joys of sledding down a hill thanks to a little support in the right places courtesy of an Amazon Prime delivery.
The ad was created by the US-based Amazon in-house team under VP Global CCO Jo Shoesmith, marking a departure from previous Christmas ads which had been made by agency Lucky Generals since 2017. It was directed by Wayne McClammy through Hungry Man.
